James Knight is a marathon runner whose legs may have the occasional rest, but his mind rarely stops turning. He has written ten non-fiction books, spanning Australian history, travel, cricket, and human interest biographies whose subjects include: a Vietnamese refugee; high altitude mountaineer; outback cattle man; kangaroo rescue worker; and numerous cops, ambos, and fire-fighters. James Knight's most recent biography, Under the Same Sky, is an incredibly powerful and moving story of Mojgan Shamsalipoor and Milad Jafari - two young Iranian asylum seekers who are showing that the power of love can conquer all obstacles.
James has written for the Sydney Morning Herald and CNN online, and is also a television journalist and documentary producer who has been on assignment to many parts of the world. He has been a volunteer worker in Africa and South America, and is an ambassador for the international charity, Room To Read.
