Jacqueline Harvey

Jacqueline Harvey loves to tell stories. She is the author of many novels for younger readers and a picture book, The Sound of the Sea, an Honour Book in the 2006 Children’s Book Council Awards. In 2012 the first book in her bestselling Alice-Miranda series, Alice-Miranda at School, was awarded a YABBA and a KOALA Honour book award. The Clementine Rose series for younger readers has followed closely in the success of Alice-Miranda. Both of these highly successful series are published internationally, and Jacqueline has travelled widely, speaking and teaching in the United States, United Kingdom and Asia.

Jacqueline's books have sold over a million copies in Australia and New Zealand, making her one of the country's most popular authors for children. 

A highly experienced teacher of 20 years, and former Deputy Head, Jacqueline has an extensive knowledge of current curriculum and is also a highly entertaining and engaging speaker. She has delivered hundreds of talks at schools and festivals around the world, presenting to students, teachers and parents. She is available for general talks, writing workshops, professional development and parent forums.
