Erin Gough is a fiction writer whose short stories have been published in a number of journals and anthologies, including Best Australian Stories. Her novel for young adults, The Flywheel, won the Ampersand Prize, was short-listed for the CBCA Book of the Year (Older Readers) in 2016, and longlisted for the 2016 Indie Awards. Erin has been a guest at a number of writers’ festivals, including the Sydney Writers’ Festival, Youth Matters, and Tamar Valley.
Her writing explores questions of identity, and celebrates individuality and community. Her talks and workshops with high school students focus on the importance of reading diversely and learning how to tell your individual story.
