Sandy Fussell is the award-winning and bestselling author of fourteen books including the Samurai Kids series and Sad, the Dog (her first picture book) which was recommended in a New York Times review. Polar Boy was shortlisted for CBCA Book of the year in 2009. Sandy is an ICT consultant, book reviewer, technology blogger, in-schools Literary Festival Co-ordinator at The Story Crowd and one subject short of a Maths degree.
Sandy loves to talk, and has presented at writers' festivals around Australia. Her biggest claim to fame is a star in the main street of Grenfell, as guest of Honour of the Henry Lawson Festival of the Arts, along with legitimately famous literary people like Patrick White. Having recently survived two life-threatening illnesses, she knows for certain the glass is always half –full.
