Before becoming a writer, Tim Harris was a newspaper delivery boy, golf ball collector, checkout dude, babysitter, eBay seller, singer-songwriter and primary teacher of 15 years. One of the fresh faces in Australian children’s literature (without actually having a fresh face), his first series of books, Exploding Endings, will have primary-aged readers both captivated and laughing out loud. He likes ordering pizza online, watching his favourite footy team win and playing Lego with his three young children. He dislikes Brussels sprouts, watching his favourite footy team lose and writing about himself in third person. His publisher says he is doing just fine and should finish the blurb with something about his school visits. Harnessing his background in education, Tim’s presentations are dynamic, engaging and entertaining. His writing workshops challenge and inspire young writers to find original ideas and improve the mechanics of their work.
